The sources Paradise, Hawaiian Style Sessions 1 & 2 refer to the bootleg CDs TCB 96301 & 96302. These were previously issued on 3 LP's that weren't verified, but assumed to be mastered from an identical source (X generation cassette with high-end loss, noise and speed/pitch between 2-6% too fast).
Initially, there was an "Orchestral" version of 'Sand Castle' to be used in the movie. Elvis' vocals were removed from 'Sand Castles' (KO
take 10) and the remaining instrumental track was
overdubbed with new vocals by Elvis, along with backing vocals by The Mello Men, on August
3 (KOV), although this version was eventually not used, and the song was dropped from the movie all together.
The first two bars that are missing from 'Scratch
My Back (Then I'll Scratch Yours)' on the original LP, FTD extended soundtrack,
the 30 disc Complete Elvis Presley Masters collection
and the Franklin Mint package can be found on Double Features.
The movie version of 'Scratch My Back (Then I'll Scratch Yours)' on the Elvis One release Nineteen Sixty Five Studio Sessions - Part 1 (The Bootleg Series Vol. 18) and From Santa Monica Boulevard, Los Angeles, California - Part 3 (The Bootleg Series Vol. 36) appears to be lifted from the Blu-Ray release of Paradise, Hawaiian Style, where the "Score" can be found on a separate track of the Blu-Ray disc, and some of it without talking etc, which can be heard in the soundtrack of the movie. The same Elvis One (volume 18) release also contains some of the "Score" music, although as of now it is unknown what the actual titles are, or when the "Score" was recorded.
'Stop Where You Are' is a composite of:-
0:00-1:42: DOV-03 ("...lookin' for")
1:42-2:04: D1OV-09+06 ("Stop...")
In March of 2007, Sony decided to go through all of Elvis' masters. They retransferred everything and remastered all tracks including repairing as many clicks, pops, bad edits and dropouts as they could. They have used these newly mastered recordings on their new releases since 2007 including budget soundtracks, Legacy releases, the 30 disc Complete Elvis Presley Masters collection and the Franklin Mint package.
