Drums of the islands, you're beating in my heart
You're with me, no no matter where I roam
If ever I wander, if ever we're apart
I know that you will lead me home
If I should journey across the deep blue sea
Ill never forget these coral shores
Drums of the islands, I'll hear you calling me
And I'll return, forever yours
I love each valley, each grain of sand, each hill
The flowers, the music of the isles
These are the things that I love and always will
Though I may roam ten thousand miles
Drums of the islands, you're beating in my heart
You're with me, no no matter where I roam
If ever I wander, if ever we're apart
I know that you will lead me home
Drums of the islands, you're beating in my heart
You're with me, no no matter where I roam
If ever I wander, if ever we're apart
I know that you will lead me home
Drums of the islands, you're beating in my heart
You're with me, no no matter where I roam
If ever I wander, if ever we're apart
I know that you will lead me home
'This Is My Heaven' is spliced from takes
8 & 6:
0:00-1:48: FOV-08 ("...forever")
1:48-2:36: FOV-06 ("Here 'neath the sky...")
Initially, there was an "Orchestral" version of 'Sand Castle' to be used in the movie. Elvis' vocals were removed from 'Sand Castles' (KO
take 10) and the remaining instrumental track was
overdubbed with new vocals by Elvis, along with backing vocals by The Mello Men, on August
3 (KOV), although this version was eventually not used, and the song was dropped from the movie all together.
In March of 2007, Sony decided to go through all of Elvis' masters. They retransferred everything and remastered all tracks including repairing as many clicks, pops, bad edits and dropouts as they could. They have used these newly mastered recordings on their new releases since 2007 including budget soundtracks, Legacy releases, the 30 disc Complete Elvis Presley Masters collection and the Franklin Mint package.
